The popular Australian film "Red Dog" will have a public viewing in Walpole, for the first time, on Friday evening 13th January. The movie is set in the Pilbara region of Western Australia in the 1970's and is great family viewing.

The Walpole Community Resource Centre has purchased the rights to show the film and it is expected it will prove popular with both local residents and visitors alike.
Prior to the main feature film, a short locally made production will be shown, of scenic beauty spots throughout the district - including native flora and fauna.
Local businesses will also support the event, by paid advertising.
The electronic presentation of the advertisements was produced by the two younger trainees of the CRC - Haylee Hawkins and Cassandra Peterson.
Tickets will be $5 Primary School-aged Children and Adult Concession; $7.50 Adult; $20 Family.
Refreshments will be available for sale.
The proceeds of the evening will be put towards the acquisition and installation of a dish washer in the Community Centre Kitchen - a requirement to maintain "approved kitchen" status.

Red Dog This West Australian movie set in the Pilbara during the 1970's relates the story of the Red Cloud Kelpie who roams the mining camps, befriending many. The re-enactment and portrayal of life in the Pilbara during this time is authentic and while quite emotional, the film is a "must see" for all West Australians. Scheduled to be publicly shown - Friday 13th January at 7:30pm Walpole Community hall, Pier Street, Walpole.
